Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of photo works best?
A clear photo of one person with their face in focus. Waist up works best, since that's how the shirt shows them. Phone photos are fine; skip heavy filters and group shots.
Will the words come out right?
We read every design for spelling before you see it and remake it if a word came out wrong. Read the preview before you order anyway: what you approve is what gets printed.
Can I use a photo of a celebrity or an athlete?
These shirts are for your own people. Our print check flags celebrity photos, team logos and movie stills before anything is printed, and we'll contact you if yours gets flagged.
How much does a custom meme shirt cost?
A tee is $26.99, printed on the front. Long sleeves, sweatshirts and hoodies are on the same page with their prices. Standard shipping is $4.95 for one item and free on two or more, and ten or more shirts get an automatic discount that reaches 30% off at 100.
Can I order the same shirt for a whole group?
Yes. Make the design once, then pick sizes and quantities. The per-shirt price drops automatically from 10 shirts.
How long does it take?
You see the shirt about a minute after uploading. Shirts print to order and ship within a few days; the exact arrival window is on the page before you order.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Enter the recipient's address at checkout and it ships straight to them. Order about two weeks ahead for standard shipping, or pick express for a specific date.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Every shirt is printed to order, so there are no change-of-mind returns the way a store with shelves does them. If it arrives damaged, the print doesn't match the preview you approved, or the size differs from our size chart, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we reprint it or refund you.
Is there a minimum order?
No. Order one shirt. If you order several, the per-shirt price drops automatically.
Do you ship outside the US?
Not yet. Orders ship to US addresses only.
About custom meme shirts Read more
A Shirrts custom meme shirt is a tee or sweatshirt printed with a meme and your own person in it, from their photo and their name. Pick the meme, upload one photo, type the name, and you see the finished shirt in about a minute, before paying anything. No minimum order, US shipping. Every meme here is a format you fill in with someone you know. We don't print celebrities, team logos or movie stills.
The photos that make the best custom meme shirts
Their face in focus, waist up if you have it. Daylight or a bright room. A recent photo, so it looks like them now. A plain phone snapshot, JPG, PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC. Avoid: group shots (one person per shirt); sunglasses or a hand across the face; heavy filters; screenshots of screenshots; send the original.
Custom meme shirts as gifts
Good for a best friend's birthday or a coworker's last day. Use any clear photo from your camera roll, enter their address at checkout, and it ships straight to them.
