How to fill out the form so the AI gets it right
You don't need to know design words. A few small habits make the first four designs a lot closer to what's in your head.
The words
Vague: Happy birthday Mark you are 50 now and still love true crime
Better: Main text: "Guilty of loving true crime" · Second line: "and being 50"
Short lines read better on a shirt and the AI spells them more reliably. Split the rest into the second text field.
The picture
Vague: Something cool
Better: A smallmouth bass jumping with a hook in its mouth
Name the thing and what it's doing. One clear subject beats a list of five.
The style
Vague: Leave it blank and hope
Better: Vintage or retro for a fishing trip, bold and high-impact for a team

Is AI t-shirt design free?
Your first designs are free and you don't need an account for the first two tries. A free account gets you more rounds. You pay when you order a shirt, starting at $26.99. If you want a lot more rounds than that, you can buy extra design credits, or text us and a person will help for free.
Do I need to write a prompt?
No. You fill out a short shirt generator form: what the shirt is for, the words you want on it, and (if you like) a picture idea and a style. The AI turns that into four finished designs.
Does the AI spell the text right?
Usually, yes. Every design is checked before it prints, and if a word comes out wrong we fix it or text you first. Longer phrases are where mistakes creep in, so keep the main line short and put extra words in the second text field.
Who owns the design?
We don't claim ownership of designs you make on Shirrts. The shirts you order are yours to wear, give away or sell. We don't hand out the design files: to get a design on a shirt, you order it through us. We may also show designs as examples, like the ones on this page. Please don't ask the AI to copy someone else's logo, character or artwork.
Can I sell shirts with my AI design on them?
Yes. Order as many shirts as you need and sell them or hand them out. Bulk pricing starts at 10 shirts and goes up to 30% off at 100.
Can I use my own photo, logo or drawing?
Yes. Upload it on the image-to-shirt page and we print it as-is or let the AI build a design around it.
